Chevy HHR Parts
If we are going to talk about Chevy HHR Parts instead of Accessories we first need to define the difference between “parts” and “accessories.” Let’s try to define the differences by starting with thoughts of each.
Accessories: Accessories are the items that are impulsive and desirable just to have. Usually these items make your HHR look better, or sometimes they help protect your car. Accessories are usually a “want to have” item.
Parts: Parts are almost always needed to repair or improve something that your HHR needs to operate. Let’s take for instance a CGS Cold Air Intake for your HHR, your HHR will operate just fine with the air intake that came stock on the car. When surfing the web as I do everyday, I came across a test performed by a California speed shop. The test compared the performance of the stock HHR air intake, the Airaid Cold Air Intake, and the CGS Cold Air Intake on a stock Chevrolet HHR. Here are the official numbers from the dyno. As you can see the CGS Air Intake outperformed the others, making 8.08hp and 8.02ft/lbs of torque over stock. Airaid's cool air intake actually lost power(-2.55hp and -.029ft/lbs torque), compared to the stock intake setup. The CGS Intake system proved itself the clear winner in this shootout. This test makes my point, there are parts and then there are parts. Some parts you just live with and others you should not live without; if you want your HHR to be the best it can be.
Listed below are some of the other parts you could but should not live without:
Accessories are usually a “want to have” item. Parts are usually a must.
